Retamoza has performed as a soloist and with his group before major symphony orchestras and symphonic bands in Argentina and abroad. In this academic setting, he premiered his works: Concerto for Tenor Saxophone, Bandoneon and Symphonic Band, Tres Escenas Porteñas (for two bass clarinets and symphonic band), En Blanco y Negro Buenos Aires (for bandoneon and six percussionists). Concertango para Saxo Barítono y OrquestaArgentine National Arts Fund Award 2016. He is the first Argentine saxophonist to record Piazzolla's Six Tango Studies in their entirety, making this the world's first recording of the work in a version for solo saxophone and string orchestra. The recording was made in Germany in co-production with the prestigious German label SR.
Constantly seeking to expand the possibilities of his instrument within the language of tango, working with orchestral organizations, symphony orchestras, ensembles, big bands, as well as arrangements for saxophone quartets, has an important place in the saxophonist's artistic activity.
Several of these works that are part of the orchestral repertoire have been recorded in the different CDs published by Retamoza.
